You did everything you were supposed to.
The degree. The job. The apartment/home, the relationship, the routine that looks great on paper. You checked the boxes, in order, and somewhere between the last one and whatever’s supposed to come next you noticed the thing you’re not supposed to say out loud:
You want more.
Not because you’re ungrateful. Not because you weren’t paying attention. You paid very close attention. You just realized you’d been building the life you were handed instead of the one you’d pick.
She Has Range is for the woman (i.e. YOU) who was never going to choose.
You’re not one thing, and you were never going to be. You’re building a business & keeping the job. You’re the friend everyone calls & you have a five-year plan. You want the bag & the savings account. You want to be the one on the panel, not just in the audience. You want a skincare shelf that’s fully stocked and a calendar that’s fully booked. You want to be the whole package, and you’re done pretending that makes you shallow.
It doesn’t. Wanting nice things doesn’t make you shallow. Wanting to earn them yourself doesn’t make you less of a girl. And you don’t have to pick between the two. That’s the whole argument here: you can build a life that’s ambitious and self-made and, yes, Pinterest-worthy. All at once.
That’s not a lack of focus. That’s range.
We make that argument in four rooms: business, wellness, fashion, and culture. Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Connor Hollis, founder of She Has Range, an editorial platform and media brand for the woman who was told to pick a lane and picked all of them instead.
I write this from Chicago, where I’m a lawyer & a creator & a founder & a wife & a few other things that don’t fit in a bio. I graduated law school in 2018, started my Instagram in 2019 while I was still studying for the bar, passed in 2020, and ran both at the same time for four years before going full time on content in 2024. Law was never plan A. It was plan B, and I did plan B first, so the safety net would be there when I jumped.
The line that started all of this: I don’t have a niche. I have range.
The career so far:
Two-state barred attorney, which is why the business essays here read the way they do: contracts, usage rights, and “what’s the actual risk in getting this wrong” are things I used to get paid to answer. p.s. I was the youngest Assistant Attorney General in my section ; )

Founder of a content-planning product line, sold on Etsy and through my own shop, built for creators who plan on paper. 200+ planners sold.
